Instruct the Ignorant is a Spiritual work of mercy! I do this everyday, since, well let’s just be honest- a 5 year old and a 2 year old don’t know much.

When you think about it, anytime you share something interesting, share your faith, or teach someone something new (or even inspire them to learn something new), you are instructing the ignorant. Who are the ignorant? Well, all of us are. I don’t think anyone would claim to know everything about everything. I know I’m constantly learning, and I’m constantly teaching (mostly teaching my little kids- but that counts right?). You probably do this work of mercy more often than you realize. I challenge you to pray over any instruction you provide others, and to recognize when you are teaching others to make sure you teach them in Godly ways. Our actions often speak louder than our words, so be humble, be faithful and give all the glory to God!
