Rosary Roundup

October is the month of the Holy Rosary! I happen to already have a few Rosary printables, and there are so many other great ones out there, so I’m sharing my favorite links all in one place, so you can have your pick of Rosary fun this week.

My Mini Rosary Books

Of course, the first I want to you to know about are My Mini-Rosary Books. You print them one-sided and make a few folds, one cut and you have a mini coloring book of the rosary.  Each mini 2-page spread is one decade of beads for your little ones to color in while you pray.  We used these a lot during Lent (I don’t know why we fell off the wagon with saying the Rosary together- but I guess this is a good week to get back into the habit!). My daughter sometimes colored each bead a different color, and sometimes colored them to ‘match’ her actual rosary.  There are five minibooks included, one for each mystery and one with all the prayers in it. (The printable includes black and white versions and watercolored ones)  I’ve got the Joyful Mysteries in black and white below for FREE! That way everyone can enjoy at least one mini-book.  If you love it, come back and support my the creation of printables like this by purchasing the set at my shop.

For instructions on folding please see my How to Fold my Mini-book Page

If you use Adobe to view/print this document, please click ‘actual’ under your printing options.  It may be automatically set to ‘fit’, which will shrink the image (and then when you fold it, the beads won’t line up correctly!)

A beautiful coloring page of praying hands holding a rosary.  In case you just want something quick and easy to print for your little ones to color.

Build a Giant Rosary

This was fun and crazy.  If you have a big wall or a door to tape/hang this giant printable rosary to, it is a fun way to display a rosary.  Oh yea, all the prayers are written on the beads!! When we used this rosary, the first time we had it laid out on the floor, and we moved around the circle with our finger pointing to the ‘bead’ we were on.  The next time, it was taped to a door, so pointed to it with sticks.  I guess you can use it anyway you want.  Maybe pray the rosary as you string all the big beads!

Rosary Cards (Kennedy Adventures)

I’m a little partial to these Rosary cards, I illustrated them after all. 😉 But in all seriousness, I drew some pictures and Dianna made them into something awesome.  Each Mystery is presented in a 1/2 sheet card with a picture and virtues on the back.  She also matched up the Bible verses with each mystery.  There are so many ways to use these, 1) simply display the picture for each decade as you go through each mystery, 2) pray one decade, read the Bible verse referenced, and read the virtue and discuss 3) Print them at 1/4 size (shrink them in adobe) laminate and put them on a key chain. I’m sure there are more ways, but those are the ones I’ve done already!  It is a $8 downloadable packet, but a lot of work went into making them and you’ll use them over and over again!

Make an Easy Rosary Craft (Catholic Icing)

We have probably 20 of these floating around our house somewhere.  Once we made a couple, my daughter figured out how to do them herself.  Now instead of stringing necklaces or bracelets, I find her stringing little rosaries… 🙂

Saint Mary and the Rosary Printable Packet (Real Life at Home)- $3.50 downloadable packet

I love Angie’s Printable packets- they are designed to appeal to a wide range of kids.  Even though mine aren’t old enough for all the activities, they still enjoy several of the pages in it!

Incorporating the Rosary into your everyday routine (Catholic All Year)

Ok, so this isn’t a printable, but I love reading Catholic All Year, and Kendra has a post about how to incorporate the Rosary in your daily routine.  We are no where near that frequent, but it’s good to have goals right?

Catholic All Year: How we say a family rosary

Don’t get stressed, and remember any prayer (incomplete, interrupted, noisy baby background noise, etc) is better than NO prayer!

Thanks for visiting and God Bless,

Kristen
