The next coloring page I’ve finished is the Corporal Work of Mercy, Shelter the Homeless.

This one is tricky to do with little kids. We can all collect money and donate to local shelters, but active participation in sheltering the homeless can be difficult to do with little ones. When my kids get older, I hope we can volunteer at shelters and participate in Habitat for Humanity building projects. How do you plan to live out this work of mercy in your own family?

I just wanted to let you know how much my family has been enjoying your wonderful Works of Mercy coloring pages. They have been a blessing to us. Thank you so much!
May God continue to bless you and your family.
Thank you!!! 🙂
A sweet friend of mine at our homeschool co-op brought up the fact that there are plenty of homeless animals on the street and in city pounds. If you’ve adopted a pet from an animal shelter- you’ve sheltered the homeless! Yes, humans are God’s greatest creation but I don’t think He meant for his mercy to be limited to just us. I just had to share this idea with you all. My family is personally not in a place in life to adopt an animal, but it was an act of sheltering homeless that a lot of kids in our co-op could directly relate to.
