So this post is probably seemingly totally unrelated to anything else I post about, but I feel like it might be useful to someone somewhere, so why not share it!? I’ve been reading through Rediscover Jesus by Matthew Kelly this Lenten season along with my faithful and awesome small group of women at church.
You can learn about Rediscover Jesus at www.dynamiccatholic.com/bestlentever. It has been a powerful book, and has definitely challenged me in many ways this Lent, and I totally recommend it. It’s really not too late to start reading it for Lent. No, seriously, if you aren’t reading it, you should. And it really is never too late.
Chapter 26, is titled The Prayer Process and suggests a step by step process to a meaningful prayer time. Anyway, as I was reading this chapter and the Prayer Process, I thought to myself, well I do some of these things sometimes but not all the time. And how much deeper a conversation could I have with God if I focused my quiet prayer time on doing all of these everyday. I made a simple printable bookmark with The Prayer Process on it. If ever I have quiet time with God, it is at night right before bed after the kids are asleep. I often read or pray then, and I thought a bookmark would be the easiest way for me to keep The Prayer Process handy. The Prayer Process was written by Matthew Kelly (not by me).

You can also get more official/nicer Prayer Process cards in bulk, here at the Dynamic Catholic website. No matter how you keep it handy, I’m sure the Prayer Process will help you grow closer to God in prayer!
How are you growing this Lenten Season Mom (or Dad)? How can you grow in your prayer life?
Thanks for visiting, and don’t worry I’ll be back at kids printables next time. 🙂
