Saint Anthony is one of my favorites, and now I’ve got a coloring page for him!

St. Anthony of Padua’s a well known and well loved saint. I guess it’s because of all his fun stories, from teaching fish, to befriending wolves, that makes him so likeable in our household. I mean what child doesn’t dream of having a wolf friend or being able to speak to animals?
He’s the first saint featured in the Encounter the Saints Series, which are some great books for learning about the saints.
Plus he’s easy to find in many of the ABCs of Saint books like this one, An Alphabet of Catholic Saints. I love the poems in this one, it’s a book appealing both to adults and kids. The illustrations are neat, and though they are black and white, they’re still so interesting. The poems will make you grab your dictionary as you and your kids learn some new words ;).
In this coloring page I made, St. Anthony is shown with baby Jesus because baby Jesus appeared to him. He’s the patron saint of many things, but probably most known as patron saint of lost things. Sometimes I wonder if Saint Anthony gets tired of finding lost things for people. Sometimes I ask him for help in other areas of life, I figure maybe it’ll get his attention since it’s not another “St Anthony help me find….” prayer lol.
Saint Anthony is also featured in my Saint Paper Dolls and Pop-up scenes sets. I really love those paper dolls. One day I’ll make another set of those.
Thanks for visiting!
