Saint Paper Dolls Set 2

A couple years ago I came out with my printable paper saint dolls, which have been pretty popular since I released them (and also had some pop out saint scenes you could get separately- in case you did peg dolls instead of paper dolls).  A friend of mine who also does Catholic Schoolhouse said she would love it if I could make some paper saint dolls that go with the CSH tour we are on (Tour III this year), and I thought that was a great idea!  So here they are, the eight saints from Catholic Schoolhouse Tour III!

Included in this set are Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Saint Francis Xavier, Saint Martin de Porres, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, Saint Therese of Lisieux, Saint Bernadette, Saint Maximilian Kolbe, and Saint Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa).  You can print them in black and white and color them yourselves, or print the watercolored versions.

Assembly is a breeze.  You can either cut out around the saint (include the tabs at the bottom) or just cut out around the big rectangles.  Then fold at the line across the top of the head, and the two tabs at the bottom.  Overlap and secure the tabs at the bottom to each other with tape, glue dot or glue.  From the side it’ll look like a triangle.  Then have fun with your tiny saint people! (Instructions are included in the downloadable file.)

These are now free and you can access them by clicking the link below:

How can you  use these guys? Lots of ways- first just play with them.  Let your kids imagination rule, print assemble (laminate if you want them to last) and see what kind of adventures and holy stories come from your children’s mouths.  So far Saint Ignatius has been in an epic battle resulting in him laying down listening to stories of Jesus.

Another thought I’ve had, but haven’t tried yet, is a variation of the elf-on-the-shelf game.  Don’t cringe just yet (I do NOT do the elf on the shelf, fyi), but hide the saint of the week somewhere in your house.  If you homeschool, maybe that saint has the ‘after- you-finish-your-homeschool treat’ with him/her.  At our house if you complete all your assignments to the best of your abilities AND with a good attitude you get two jelly beans.  I’m considering Saint Ignatius hiding on various bookshelves with the jelly beans- and they can’t look for him until we’re done with school- just a little extra motivation to get through that difficult math or reading 😉

However you use the Printable Paper Doll Saints, it’ll add some fun to your house and play!

Thanks for being here!

Do you have these Saint Paper Dolls to correspond to CSH Year 1? We used these last year for Year 3 and loved having them hanging around our schoolroom. I would love to have them again for this year.
