I thought for sure a craft like this already existed, but if it does, I can’t find it on Pinterest. I realize this is my third post for Pentecost, but I can’t stop myself. After I had this idea and couldn’t find it already done, I just had to make it myself. My daughter loves the cut and glue activities, and what better way to entertain her than a Fruits of the Holy Spirit activity!

The instructions are so simple:
Print, color, cut out the fruit and glue stick onto the tree!
I hope your kids enjoy this simple but fun craft about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. As they are coloring/cutting/gluing you can explain how the ‘fruits’ of the Holy Spirit aren’t apples and bananas but rather they are observable behaviors of people who have allowed the Holy Spirit to work through them.
The Catholic Church teaches that there are 12 fruits of the spirit: charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, and chastity. (CCC 1832). But a lot of people just use the list from Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
So just to not exclude anything I used both lists, which ends up at 13 fruits in the downloadable. You can choose which set of fruits you want to use, or use them all. (Note: the list from Galatians has 9 fruits, the list from the Catechism has 12 fruits which include all the ones from Galatians except love, I guess love is assumed?)
I also included a page of blank fruits in case you want to make your older kids write the fruits in themselves. Just print the pages you need!
In case you haven’t already seen them, check out the Pentecost Coloring Page and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit Minibook posts too!
Happy Pentecost Friends!
What a great idea! This is such a fun way to teach the fruit of the Spirit.
Yay! Thanks!
