Saint Nicholas’ feast day is December 6! I love this feast day that falls in Advent. We celebrate by setting out shoes for St. Nicholas to fill with goodies. You could also celebrate this amazing saint with a coloring page!
I have to admit, lately I’ve gotten carried away with drawing boarders. I love this one though, and all the small spaces to color. Just the border alone should keep your little artists busy for a while. I also put “Saint Nicholas” in bubble letters so you can even color his name!

(Download and open in a pdf viewing program like Adobe before printing for the best results. Sometimes the bubble letters don’t print correctly when printed from an internet browser)
If you are looking for a wonderful book about Saint Nicholas, consider adding A Special Place for Santa to your bookshelves.
This book does such a great job of bridging that gap between the secular “Santa Claus” and the historical man Saint Nicholas. It tells of his life as a bishop, the famous story of giving coins for the ladies dowry, and his eventual ‘transformation’ into Jolly Old St. Nick/ Santa Claus. My favorite part is the end, where the “Special Place for Santa” is in front of the Baby Jesus in a Church.
It’s a favorite that read around this time every year, sometimes several times. 🙂
I hope you’re having a beautiful Advent, and that St. Nick leaves a little something for you too!
