This weekend is the end of Christmas, also Epiphany. I’m also planning our first ever Christmas party for my CSH friends! We are having a potluck based on the 12 Days of Christmas for the food items. As I was thinking about this weekend, I thought it’d be fun to have little labels or signs to go with each pot luck item that designates which Day of Christmas it goes with. After a quick internet search, I couldn’t find any I liked, so of course I made them myself!
Please download and print from your computer for the best results!
You know the song right? “On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me… ” Ok good now it’s stuck in your head. Each of the 12 days of Christmas has been illustrated, outlined and watercolored into these neat little circular labels.
The names were written in calligraphy! We had a mom’s night out where I learned some calligraphy, and I can’t get enough. There’s something really relaxing about writing with a calligraphy pen, and it’s not nearly as hard as it seems like it would be.
Anyway, use these labels as you wish! Print on card stock and tape to a popsicle stick to make them into a neat little sign for your party food. Or glue them to some cardboard circles and thread some ribbon through the top for an actual ornament for your tree. Or print them and string them together for a decorative Christmas garland. What else can you do with these?
Oh and as always, the download comes in black and white and in color. That way if you need something for the kiddos to do after you’ve already cleaned up the house for the party… make them color these instead of making new messes!
I have the most amazing group of families in my CSH, we are so blessed to know each other, and I can’t wait to see what they bring tomorrow. We used Shower of Roses’s post on the 12 Days of Christmas Dinner Party as our inspiration for this pot luck. I loved her little ornaments, but don’t feel like paying for little decorations, so I made these instead.
I hope however you celebrate Epiphany, you have a blessed finish to the Christmas Season!
