“Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I shall not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
Matt 26:26-29
We hear these words every Sunday in Mass. Take a minute and think about what was happening at the Institution of the Eucharist. Jesus was giving us a way to have him with us forever. Even though his body would be gone, we visit with Him every time we go to Mass. I doubt the disciples understood the gravity of the event. The Eucharist is at the center of our faith. Take some time next time you are at Mass to really be in adoration of our Lord and Savior. At the altar is the feast of the sacrifice of God’s perfect son, in our place, Jesus’s flesh and blood.
Thanks for being here everyday, or however often you dropped by. I pray these coloring pages are useful and help your children visualize the mysteries of the Rosary.
Thanks and God Bless,
Kristen
