Saint Patrick’s day is just a week away, and I know a lot of people plan early! So for today’s free printable I am sharing part of a larger set of Saint paper dolls and Pop-up scenes.
The free download is for the Saint Patrick paper doll and his pop-up scene of Ireland with snakes fleeing, in black and white.

Print it out on cardstock and color first.
To make your paper doll, either cut out around the big rectangle or Saint Patrick (make sure you leave the dotted line tabs attached). I was careful to design him to be easy to cut out around: no arms sticking out, or coziers to accidentally cut off.
Fold along the solid line on his head, and the the two dotted line tabs. You can play with him as is, or secure the two tabs with glue stick, tape or glue dots. From the side he looks like an isosceles triangle.
(My 4 year old colored and cut this one out)
To make the saint scene, you can watch this video:
Or follow these instructions:
Cut the paper in half along the solid line. Fold the scene background in half like a greeting card.
Fold the scene bottom in half along the radius, with the print on the outside. Fold the scene bottoms tabs up.
Slide the bottom into the background with the tabs on the outside. Make sure the ‘point’ of the scene’s bottom is right at the crease of the background. Secure the tabs to the outside of the scene with glue stick, tape or glue dots.
Open up for your pop-out scene! When you’re done fold it flat and store it in your favorite saint Patrick book!
If you loved this printable, and want it in watercolors (as pictured), the whole collection of saint paper dolls and scenes are available on my store page. The downloads include both black and white and watercolors. For more pictures check out my Saint Scenes for your peg dolls and paper doll saints post.
